  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries


  1. Simmer water and granulated sugar over low heat, stirring frequently until sugar dissolves.
  2. Let syrup cool for a few minutes, then pour mixture over cranberries.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Drain cooled cranberries and toss them with raw cane sugar until they are coated.
  5. Place berries on a baking sheet to dry for a few hours.
  6. Toss berries again with granulated sugar if there are still sticky spots, let dry for another hour.
